Journal about "The
Ultimate Gift"
1. We all know the good things that money
can bring. But, what are some of the bad things that money, or the pursuit of
money can cause?
2. If all your "things" were taken away (phones, computers, tv’s, nice houses and clothes, working cars, good food, etc..), what would bother you the most? How long do you think it would take you to adjust? How would you fill your extra time (not being on devices or watching shows, etc..)?
3. Do you think that friendships are sometimes based on what "things"? or, what you can provide? Thinking of Jason in the movie, we see that his friends abandon him in his time of need. Perhaps they just wanted to hang out with them because he could give good things, had cool parties, the best cars and houses, etc... Do you think this happens with middle schoolers? Why or why not?
4. How do you know when you have a true friend? Give examples (but you don't have to give names if you don't want) If someone was mean to you at one time, what would be required to create a friendship later on?
