RED TAILS FOLLOW-UP!

Answer these questions in a journal entry, stored either in your OneNote, or by emailing me directly.

1.  What were the reasons why black pilots chose to fight for their country, even though they weren't given equal status in America?

2.  What did the "Double Victory" represent?

3. We are told that, all along the way, many white officers wanted to shut the operation down.  But, what is an example where a white officer made a difference to further the cause of Red Tails success?

4.  Based on the movie and the documentary, what were some examples where the Red Tails were not given the same respect as white pilots? (hint:  before, during, and after the war)

4.  How did the Red Tails show self-respect and dignity?  What things may have inspired the Civil Rights activists to fight peacefully?
