MARTIN LUTHER KING QUOTES
Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.

The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy.
A man who won't die for something is not fit to live
I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear.
In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends.
He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it.
We must develop and maintain the capacity to forgive. He who is devoid of the power to forgive is devoid of the power to love. There is some good in the worst of us and some evil in the best of us. When we discover this, we are less prone to hate our enemies.

I like the I have a dream one because it represents that just because you have a different color of skin you don't have to be judged for that. It means that you should be judged by your actions not your looks.

I like the one that says "A man who wont die for something is not fit to live". It saying that if you don't strongly care for something in life then you aren't really fit to live- Christian
ReplyDeleteI personally think the quote that reads "Faith is taking the first step even when you don't see the whole staircase" because it really represents what kind of risks you have to take in life to succeed.
ReplyDeleteI like the quote that say "In the End, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends." because it means that if you don't do something to help, people will remember you as not having done something when people were in their time of need.

ReplyDeleteI like the one about how light drives out darkness and love drives out hate because it means to me that even the people that you think are the most cruel and mean people ever, it can always be fixed by showing the light and your love to those people.

ReplyDeleteI chose this MLK quote: darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.
ReplyDeleteI chose this quote because I tend to be a pretty vigilant person, and many times think torturing an evil person than killing them can be the solution, but it's not, and that is just the truth. This quote reminds me to not think that, because that will solve nothing.
"I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear." I like this one because love is much easier to have in your heart rather than hate.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite quote from MLK is, "I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear." I like this quote because you shouldn't judge each other by what you look like. No one is perfect.
ReplyDeleteI like number 7 because it shows that you need to remember what your friends and not remember your bad memories
ReplyDeleteI like the third one because it means that even if no one stands with you and you feel like you cant do anything than you are still brave enough to do it anyway because it is right.
ReplyDeleteI think that number 2 is the best because it says not to judge others by how they look because no one remembers how people look, they remember how they act
