Mrs. Pavetto is asking you to show leadership!

 If kids have free seating at lunch, would we see the same groups of kids always sitting by each other?   What if kids took a risk to try to get to know someone they don't know that well?  What if they purposely sat down by someone they don't know?

If you knew it would improve the community of our school?  Would you be willing to try it then...for just one day?

"This is an event that encourages students to basically just sit by someone new, or someone they have never sat by before. At other schools, they advertised it as an opportunity to see past labels or their assumptions of who someone is, to break up cliques, and to forget about stereotypes."

1.  How could Collegiate MS benefit from this?

3.  How could you get other kids to "buy into" the idea?

4.  Four categories of advertisement and you choose ONE to work on in class:

• Cool Monitor Advertisement that you create in Powerpoint
• Hand-drawn posters
• Write a skit that could be performed at lunch, that demonstrates the Value of Mix-It-Up day and explains how it will work
• Discuss other ways to promote it that you think would be successful!
