  1. I like 'Courage is standing up for what you believe in, even if you stand alone.'
I really like this quote because I believe that it takes a lot of courage to stand up for what you believe is true, but it is really hard to stand up all by yourself.

  2. I like the second one because it is true in my life as well as others life . Like when you see something wrong happening you can stop it but some people don't care when these things happen.

  3. I like "Courage is not being unafraid... it is being afraid and overcoming it." I like this one because it is saying that even if you are afraid you can still overcome your fear if you try.

  4. I believe that the best quote is the 2nd one. I think it is true because, when you are courageous and stand up for something, more than likely people will be against you. If you are the only one,the most courageous one will be the one who still makes the stand.

  6. I like the second to last one, because you can't go around problems permanently you can only put it off.

  7. I think the last comment is a great comment because to me courage is different than being unafraid. In some situations, would go as far to think that being unafraid is foolish. Having courage, to me, IS being afraid, but overcoming it to accomplish a greater goal.

  8. My favorite quote is "Courage is not the absence of fear, but rather the judgement that something else is more important than fear." I think this is true because if you have courage, it does not mean that you don't have fear, but it simply means that you are scared, but you can stand up to fear and realize that this isn't the time to be scared. If you have courage, it is not just being brave, but it is mainly being brave enough to stand up to that fear if it is time to be brave and strong.

  9. I like the last one because it tells you you really need to try to get over something and not just let it go and you need to overcome a challenge to have courage.

  17. My favorite quote is the one that says, "The best way out of a project is through it" because it is very true. You can try to get around a project by lying abut the problem, but that will just weave a web of lies. However, if you go through a problem, take the responsibility, than you can resolve the problem and move on with life. Thats courage.

  18. The Syrie family showed a great deal of courage in protecting six Jews because they were putting all of their lives in danger to protect them. They protected them and fed them for two years and they ran out of money, but the Syrie's would not give up. A couple months after they ran out of money they were betrayed, and somebody turned them in and they both died in concentration camps, but they do not know what happened to the Jews they protected.

  20. I think reading this story has made me realize how much we take life for granted. This family who was involved in the Holocaust had two daughters, and a mother and father. They hid under pieces in the yard. Soon realized how unsafe that was. They moved into a haystack. This family struggled, but yet lived, and soon moved to the United States after the war was over.

  21. Reading this passage had me thinking about how difficult it was to learn to live in these bad situations where you have to hide for your life.
