Well, we finally had the time to finish Radio. What a truly wonderful movie! I am going to list for you some quotes. I want you to PICK ONE that you think best illustrates the overall moral lesson of Radio and tell me why you picked the quote you picked, what that quote means, where that quote takes place in the movie, and why you think it is the moral lesson in Radio. Also, tell me what this movie taught you about Special Olympics and about life in general. And yes, I know those last two questions aren't easy. THINK! We picked this quote because Radio treats everyone with respect and we should want to treat everyone else the way he treats everyone. Coach Jones said it at the Barber shop after a game. The quote means that you must treat others the way you want to be treated. The values in this quote are love, compassion, caring, friendship, and respect.

ReplyDeleteWe picked this quote because we think it illustrates the morals of Radio very well and it has a very good lesson. Coach Jones said it when he is talking to the guy from the school district. This quote means that the right answer is always available, but we don't always chose it. The values in this quote are knowledge and compassion. The moral of this quote is to follow the right path even when no one else does. It relates to life because sometimes even though we know it's wrong we chose it because everyone else is doing it. This quote teaches us about special olympics because sometimes we don't always chose the right way to treat special need people.

Coach Jones said this quote in the middle of the movie in the barbor shop. This quote teaches you that you should be nice no matter what or who or when your dealing with it!!

ReplyDeleteOur group decided on this quote because we decided that it was the most important quote and that it best represented what the movie Radio was about. This quote means that you we always need to try to choose to make the right decision and do what's right even if it may not be the most popular decision. That's what Coach Jones's did in the movie for Radio and although many people wanted him to stop caring and helping him, Coach Jones continued to take care of Radio because he believed it was the right thing to do. The quote says that to do the right thing, you may have to give up things that you like and enjoy doing. This quote takes place in the end of the movie when Coach Jones decides to give up coaching football.This is an important moral lesson because it teaches us to stay strong in what we believe in and to not be afraid to stand out in a crowd and do what's right even if you stand alone. During special olympics this lesson came up because we needed to place the contestants needs before ours and we needed to remember that it wasn't about us having fun it was about the contestants haveing a good time. In life, it is important to not always think about us and what would make us happy but about others and always try to do what is right. We need to have enough courage and strength to stand up and do what's right even if we stand alone and lose things we enjoy. We need to stay strong in our beliefs and try to always do what's right.

ReplyDeleteWe chose this quote because it applies to everyone on the planet. It also shows that we know what is right, and we don't always choose to do what is right. We think the meaning of this quote is that people need to treat each other equally, kindly, and treat everyone respectfully. This quote took place barber shop, and in real life itself. This reminds us of Special Olympics because the people treated us so kindly, and whether they could bowl a 200 or a 5, they were always supportive of their teammates. In our lives, we begin to envy our friends when they are better than us at something. For life in general, we all need to treat each other better than we do, like Radio. Radio has taught us a great lesson, and we hope to follow it.

ReplyDeleteCoach Jones said this quote while he was loading presents in the truck and talking to his daughter. This means that people need to treat Radio like they treat each other. You shouldn't treat someone differently just because they may seem different, because on the inside, they are just like you. This demonstrates how caring Coach Jones is and how open-minded he acts. He respects Radio and treats him as his son. He is also very loyal to Radio because when everyone wanted to kick Radio out of school, he quit and stayed by his side. He was always very honest to Radio and trusted him. This is why we think this is the best quote. Radio taught us that even though you may be different, you are still able to do anything you want to.
